First Birds made!

24/7/2015

A month since my last post but it's been all go!

Researching materials, organisations, venues, firing logistics, developing promotional and venue proposal artwork, acquiring a car big enough for bird and marquee transportation, registering with instagram, twitter and setting up a Facebook page, plus wrestling with car insurance and a new smartphone for easy updates... phew!

I've enjoyed exploring every road of Henleaze, Stoke Bishop & Westbury-on-Trym and have already met a wonderful range of interested and enthusiastic people. Very excited to be confirming free workshop venues in such an eclectic range of places and already looking forward to meeting more creative locals.

If you're a Henleaze, Stoke Bishop or Westbury resident and on facebook please like the Facebook page for automatic notifications.

Beautiful sunset last Sunday at the NW limit of the project area, to finish off a day of exploring.

So, in my adventures around the areas I fortuitously met Shaun, who runs the Shine Creative holiday school in St Ursula's ACT Academy, and was keen to get on board... and

today the first birds were made!

Primary kids from across the areas attend so this is perfect for getting started whilst the schools are on holiday. I'll be doing a weekly session there while the holidays last. Photos to follow!

Hard to believe you're in a city when you stumble up on such an oasis of estuarine tranquility.
